Sleep, little one, Sleep.
Your dreams are long and deep.
Sleep in your burrow, cave or den,
Sleep till the winter's done and then
Rise up and start all over again.
Sleep, little one, sleep.
Our sleep schedule has changed this year because the kids (both of them!) dropped their naps. Ollie took a 2-3 hour nap until he was 5 1/2, which I know is incredible. Peyton could probably still use one, but with her school schedule it's just not in the cards. Anyway, no naps means that after tubs and a couple of books at night, these two are out like that (pretend you can see me snapping my fingers)... and usually no later than 7 pm, either, so J and I usually have a bit of time to hang out. Or not, because let's be honest: my nightly snuggle time with Ollie usually ends up with me falling asleep too.
January, Week 3/52:
Sleep, Little Ones, Sleep
| Peyton: When I ask her in the morning, "How did you sleep last night?" She always responds, "Like this!" and then tilts her head and places her prayer hands under one cheek. |
