9/52: hands

This past week has been nothing but sunshine and warm temps (high 40's/low 50's so, in other words, t-shirt weather) and I find myself nearly giddy because of it. I do love winter and snow- really I do- but with two energetic kids (and a new stroller I'm chomping at the bit to bring on its maiden voyage), I'm at the point where enough is enough- get us outside!!! ( Plus, Ollie has discovered that calling Peyton "Shweethaht" drives her nuts so according to big brother law he does it every chance he gets... and the volume of her whining when he does so is more than I can bear indoors).
We had one rough daylight savings hangover day where both of the kids were pretty emotional and generally cranky (which I expected from Peyton but not Ollie!) but they've since adjusted and now we're just enjoying that extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day! How amazing that such a simple thing can change your attitude entirely...

Anyway, this week's photos have nothing to do with daylight savings or the first signs of Spring, but I'm exhausted so lets just roll with it, whaddya say?

February, 9/52:
Hands

Little Dylan always has a clutch of shirt, I think to ensure she won't be put down- lady does love to be held! But I guess she doesn't realize just how squishy and divine she is, because there's not much of a chance of that happening!

Lately, if Peyton is not playing with her baby dolls, you can always find her hands near her real baby. Nearly five weeks in and I'm still in awe of how brilliantly and effortlessly she took on the big sister role.
Did you guys know that Ollie loves Monster Trucks??? Kidding.
He's also obsessed with checking the mailbox, and this week I discovered the reason: Sometimes, when I let him play with my phone, he adds things to the Amazon cart. And sometimes we place an order without first checking what's inside. So the other day there was a package in the mailbox and when I said I couldn't remember ordering anything, Ollie said, "That's fo' me" and sure enough, it was Iron Outlaw, who Ollie evidently needed to add to his collection.
