kicking off the season in nyc!

On Monday, Peyton and I went with our girlfriends (my friend Meg and her daughter, Maeve) to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular Show at Radio City Music Hall. In my opinion, there's no more perfect way to kick off the Christmas season than in New York City! The tree in Rockefeller Center hadn't been lit yet (it was up, though) but the storefronts were decorated and the city was in full Christmas swing!

Our tickets were for a fairly early show, so we decided to stay over at a hotel just outside the city the night before. The girls were so excited for their first sleepover :) There was lots of bed jumping and giggling!

Hotel room shenanigans!

The next morning, we headed into the city. I survived my very first driving experience there- it was not nearly as bad as I feared! After a little breakfast, we walked to Radio City Music Hall for the show. I honestly couldn't tell you who was more excited- the girls or us Moms! When the show started, Peyton's mouth dropped open and she kept looking at the show and back to me, pointing and smiling. It was so amazing to be able to experience it with her, I kind of teared up a little watching her watch the show! (I could blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but really, I'm just kind of a sap like that!)
Breakfast smiles.

Love these little besties!

Ready for the show!

After the show, we hit up American Girl and Magnolia Bakery, but not before dropping a couple of dollars into this AH-mazing Bell Ringer's bucket. I mean, even in the pictures you can tell how awesome he was! He had a boom box and everything!

Passing the time while we waited in a looooong line for cupcakes. (It was worth it)

That's a mouth full'a delectable frosting!

And that's the end of our New York City adventure! (But not really the end, I suspect. I have a feeling we're going to have to make this a tradition :)

Here's to making wonderful holiday memories! Happy December!
